The 42nd winners of Les Petits As are crowned!

Michael Antonius (USA) is the first American winner since Victor Lilov in 2018. The youngster didn’t drop a set to reach the finals, where he faced Izan Baranes Lasala (Spain). With the support of the whole USTA team, Michael Antonius came back from a set down to eventually get the trophy (4-6, 6-2, 6-0).

“In the first set, I played OK tennis but I was able to play better in the second and third set. I’m honored to win here, it’s an amazing experience.”

Last year Michael Antonius qualified through the USA Playoffs Lacoste and lost in the first round to the future finalist Daniel Jade (7-6(4), 3-6, 6-2).

On the girls side, Maria Makarova lifted up the trophy without dropping a set. From one break down to one set up, she defeated her doubles partner and friend Ksenia Ruchkina (6-4, 6-3).

“I’m proud to have won such a tournament. Winner in Singles and Doubles, it’s incredible !

The USA Doubles team Ahmad – Davidov completed the American success with a title in Doubles against the French pair Dodin – Grévoul (2-6, 6-1, 10-6).

We want to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank all the participants, their teams, the umpires, the referees, the volunteers and all the spectators who visited us in Tarbes during the tournament.  See you all in January 2025 for the next edition of Les Petits As – Le Mondial Lacoste.
