For the first game of the day, Andy TCHINDA – KEPCHE (CAN) and Filip LADMAN (CZE) went head to head on the centre court of the Exhibition center of Tarbes. While the young Canadian managed to win the first set 7-6 (4), the Czech, more dominant during the second set, had a break lead and the match could turned in his favor, but unfortunately he got injured and was forced to call the medical staff. He nevertheless managed to finish the match and finally lost 7-5.
Lia BELIBOVA (MOL) played her 6th consecutive match of the competition, as she qualified from international qualifiyings, and managed to take the best of the American Zaire CLARKE by winning in 3 sets 6/7 6/4 6/0. She will face in the next round the seeded n°3 Luna VUJOVIC (SER).
Similar scenario in the boys category, Saava RYBKIN struggled to find the weakness in the game of the British Rhys LAWLOR during a match of high intensity. He also won in 3 sets 6/7 7/5 6/3.
The n°1 French player Jules RIMBAUD defeats the Turkish Samim FILIZ. The two youngsters have already met before, during the April Cup (Antalya, Turkey) in 2021, RIMBAUD had won their first confrontation. His compatriot Moise KOUAME also continues his progress in the tournament and reaches the 1/8 finals by defeating Aleksandar TOLEV (BUL).
Annika PENICKOVA (USA) victorious at the Tennis Europe Junior – Category 1 Bolton tournament (Great Britain) did not find the necessary ressources to beat the top seed n°10 Maia Ilinca BURCESCU (ROU) and lost with a large victory of 6/1 6/1.
